Where does
insulin come from?
Insulin
output is triggered by the massive arrival of sugar to
receptors in the pancreas. When the pancreas is
inundated (as well as by hereditary predisposition)
diabetes will appear.
This may seem contradictory when many patients
say they eat very little.
These patients have a
high basic insulin level. Their insulin is secreted
faster and therefore starts stocking sooner. These
patients can feel their body mass growing as they
eat, and as a result may actually avoid eating many
light meals as it can make them feel even hungrier.
Their insulin secretion is so reactive that they are
forced to follow a very strict diet. A protein fast
is often advised to begin their weight loss and
level their sugar tolerance.
