Medication that slows down the sugar absorption.

Is there anything that slows down the sugar absorption?  And, in addition, slows down the need for insulin?

That type of medication is commonly used on an everyday basis in prescription to control  diabetes. Physicians  knows how and when to prescribe.  The use for the non-diabetic is prior to very heavy meals to be used along with the orlistat.

This could be very useful in a preventive role for those with a family history of diabetes.
