Under
normal climates with moderate temperatures, there is
little fear of dehydration, although water is
important to the body’s normal functioning.
The
intake of fluids during mealtime can dilute gastric
juices and slow down digestion, and the water content
aids all stages of the digestive process. Provided
that drinking is not totally avoided, then usually
there is no need to force down liquids as part of a
diet.
There
are many types of drinks available today of different
varieties and taste, and are manufactured to
re-hydrate quite sufficiently.
